The Concept of ArtCebu
The concept for ArtCebu was to come up with an online site or gallery, where artworks in various media, by Cebuanos may be featured. Discussions and consultations with various Cebuano artists, and the success of “Panagtagbo” fueled the idea. There would be no restrictions; paintings, sculpture, photography work, and even mobile art and short film may be presented through the site. Eventually, ArtCebu is envisioned to include artists from the other Visayan regions.

Its Purpose
ArtCebu is committed to promoting Cebuano art and giving Cebuano artists exposure in the international art scene and to online browsers worldwide. It is comprised of Cebuano visual and graphic artists and sponsor-collaborators, all taking part promoting Cebuano culture and its artistic tradition internationally, and establishing worldwide contacts for its member-artists and artist groups.

Its Thrust
The thrust of the site is to become an online hub where ArtCebu artist-members may be able to exhibit their work, meet other artists, interested sponsors, art collectors and patrons, as well as other art groups based domestically and abroad. ArtCebu also aims to become the info central, where one may look through an online directory on Cebuano artists (past and present), as well as for ongoing exhibits and art events, organized by and for Cebuano artists.
